Totemic takes over Morrison Fundraising Days for Marie Curie Lincolnshire

Recent volunteering efforts from a group of Totemic employees saw nearly £500 being raised for Marie Curie’s biggest fundraising campaign, The Great Daffodil Appeal.

We give our employees the chance to give something back to our community through two allocated volunteering days – and the daffodil collections is one of the initiatives we decided to support this year.

Tuesday 10 and Thursday 12 March saw Vicky White, Linda Okeefe, Carl Stokes and Lesley Giles pop down to Morrisons in Grantham and don a bright yellow hat to raise vital funds for the cause.

The money they collected will help Marie Curie to continue providing vital care and support to people living with a terminal illness and their families.

Luke Pick, Head of Engagement at Totemic, said: “We were delighted to be part of Marie Curie’s Morrisons takeover days and our volunteers really enjoyed contributing to the fantastic cause.

“As one of Grantham’s largest employers, giving back to the local community is something we’re very passionate about. It’s wonderful such a large amount was collected, which will now help to support those living with, and being affected by, a terminal illness.”

Lauren Alexander-Lee, Community Fundraiser for Marie Curie Lincolnshire, said: “We are delighted to have teamed up with Totemic this year for the Great Daffodil Appeal. It was wonderful to hear that the staff enjoyed the experience, embraced the yellow top hats and listened to the general public when they told their stories of our support and care.

“The vital care and support Marie Curie provide to people living with a terminal illness and their families would not be possible without the amazing fundraising of our supporters. We are so grateful to have worked with Totemic and we would like to thank their staff for getting involved in The Great Daffodil Appeal. The money raised will help our 83 Lincolnshire nurses/health care assistants continue to be there for more people and make the most of the time they have together.”

“We look forward to next year!”
